We invite you to come and participate with us in our worship services held every Sunday morning at 9:45 AM.

Afterwards, we provide Sunday School Classes for all age groups to help everyone learn more about the Lord. In addition, Bible studies and fellowship groups meet regularly throughout the week, directed toward everyone's specific spiritual needs.

Youwan's office hour schedule will be changing a bit. He is now in the office on Mondays.

1. Prayer Meeting on Tuesday
We will have our regular prayer meeting at 8 PM on Tuesday evening at Youwan and Jenny's house. Please come out and join us for prayer. Please send any prayer requests to prayer@mvccc.org.

2. Vision/Planning Meeting on Tuesday July 8th
We will have our monthly meeting next Tuesday (7/8/08) at Youwan and Jenny's house starting at 8 PM.

3. English Ministry Kitchen Duty this Sunday
It is our turn to do the kitchen duty for lunch this week. We will end Sunday school early in order to help serve and clean-up for lunch.

4. Summer Retreat Registration
We are still doing the online registration for the Summer Retreat. Please go to our website and register for the summer retreat. The dates are July 25-27th.

Finally in other church wide news, this past week was the last week for our Chinese Pastor Peter Ng. Paster. Peter's contract was not renewed, and he is currently interviewing for church positions. There will be some sort of formal farewell in the near future, and I will let you know when that is. If you have any questions regarding this situation, please contact me and I can tell you more.

1. Prayer Meeting

2. Summer Retreat Online registration

3. Volleyball Tournament and Picnic with the Chinese Fellowships on Saturday, July 26th
We are invited to join the Chinese Fellowship on Saturday, July 26th for a volleyball tournament and picnic at Sylvan Park starting at 3:30 PM. We are encouraged to put together our own team, so if you are interested, please contact me for more information.

1. Vision/Planning Meeting Tuesday

2. Summer Retreat Sign-ups start this weekend
Our summer retreat is July 25-27th at Bethany Bible College in Scotts Valley. Our registration will start this weekend. Our church also has an online registration as well. I will send out that link as soon as I receive it. Please make sure to mark down the date on your calendars.

1. Tuesday Night Prayer tonight
As usual, we will be meeting at 8 PM for prayer. Please come out and join us. If you have any prayer requests, please send them to prayer@mvccc.org.

2. VBS help
We are still looking for more helpers for VBS. Specifically, we need two more volunteers who are willing to help with the Bible Club time. This section of VBS is a fun and interactive time where the kids learn about a bible story for the day. VBS starts in less than two weeks (June 16-20), and the time will be 9 AM - 12 PM. College folks: I don't know when most of you will be back, but let me know if you are interested in helping out with the Bible Club or even the afternoon play time sessions with the kids.

3. Vision/Planning Meeting next Tuesday
We will be having our monthly vision/planning meeting next Tuesday. We will be meeting at 8 PM at my house that evening in lieu of the regular prayer meeting.

1. Mission Conference starts this Friday at 7 PM
We will have an evening of Worship, Prayer, and Fasting. Please make it a point to come out and also pass on the invitation to your friends as well.

2. Optional Fasting
We will be starting our fast for 30 Hour Famine after lunch on Friday until Saturday Night Dinner. We will meet at church at 6:30 PM to break fast that night before our evening session. Please let me know if you are attending so that I can prepare the food for that night.

3. Tuesday Night Prayer
We will be meeting regularly for our prayer time starting at 8 PM that night. We will focus our prayer on the mission conference.

1. Monthly Vision/Planning Meeting is tonight at 8 PM at Youwan's house.
We will be discussing a number of events that are coming up this month, including the Mission's Conference and Fellowship Activities. Please come out and join us tonight if you are interested in finding out and helping with the various events coming up this month.

2. Missions Conference, Do Justice, Love Kindness, Walk Humbly with Our God, May 16-18
In two weeks, we will be having our yearly Missions Conference here at MVCCC. This year, we will continue to learn more about God's heart for justice. Ana Sanchez, a good friend of Bean and Leah Huang, will be coming up from LA to share with us her own experience about justice as well as about IJM, International Justice Mission. Our hope for this year is not only to intellectually learn about justice but also to have God shape our hearts. The Missions Conference will start on the evening of May 16th with worship, fasting, and prayer. If you feel lead, you are more than welcome to join us for a time of fasting that will start after lunch on May 16th. We will break fast on May 17th, before our evening session on that day.

Here is the schedule for that weekend:

Friday 7-9 PM: Evening of worship and prayer (optional fast starting at lunch)
Saturday 7-9 PM: Worship and Speaker - Ana Sanchez will be giving her first message that night
Sunday 9:45-11 AM: Sunday Service - Ana Sanchez will be giving her second message that morning.

1. Tonight is Tuesday Night Prayer
I think I had originally announced it as our Monthly Vision Planning meeting. That is next week and not this week. Instead, we will meet up to pray for our church. Come by at 8 PM and join us.

Our yearly Mission's Conference will be this month May 16-18th. You will be hearing more about this in the coming weeks.

1. Confirmation of our two English Deacons!
Eric and Thien were confirmed this past weekend during our congregational vote and they will be serving as our new English Deacons! I am very appreciative of their willingness to serve in this capacity and we will be explaining their new roles in the following weeks.

2. Tuesday Night Prayer
As usual, we will be meeting at Youwan's house tonight for our regular prayer meeting. Our meeting will start at 8 PM. Even if you are unable to attend, please send your prayer requests to e-mail: prayer@mvccc.org and we will pray for you.

3. Young Adult Day Hike on April 19th
We will need to move this event due to a conflict with another event. We will announce the new details of this event soon.

4. Sarah's Law
As announced this past Sunday and discussed in our Adult Sunday School, we are still taking signatures for a proposed bill called the Sarah's Law. Basically, it is a petition to have a bill put up for vote for the upcoming Nov. election that would require a doctor to notify a parent or an under-18 year old girl 48 hours prior to performing an abortion. In addition, Sarah's Law provides that is a minor girl is from an abusive home, the doctor may instead notify another adult family member or the pending abortion. There are numerous levels in which this is a significant issue and I would ask you to prayerfully consider signing this petition. I have the official petition sheets with me and we will take signatures leading up to this Sunday's service. For more info you can read more about this bill here.

1. Monthly Vision/Planning Meeting
We will be meeting at Youwan's house Tuesday for our regular monthly vision and planning meeting. This month we are going to continue our discussion on Organization. If you are serving or are interested in serving, this will be a good meeting to come to find out what the various needs are in the our English ministry. Our meeting will start at 8 PM.

2. Young Adult Day Hike on April 19th
This has been tentatively scheduled for this month and we could definitely use some help in coming up with some places to go. We talked a bit about this tonight at our Soul Care Group. If you have any suggestions for places that we can go, please let me know.

1. Tuesday Prayer Meeting:
We will be meeting at Youwan's house as usual for prayer meeting starting at 8 PM. We will not be having a prayer meeting next week (3/25), because Pat and I will be gone on to a Pastor's Conference.

2. Capitola Retreat:
We will be having our Young Adult Capitola Retreat this week. There are still spots open so let me know if you are interested in coming. There is also room for part-timers. Some folks will be coming up on Sat for lunch so there is also potentially carpooling available. Contact me with any questions that you may have.

3. Easter Sunday this weekend:
Just a reminder that Easter Sunday is this weekend. We will be having our baptism service this weekend and one of the youth from the Youth Group will be getting baptized.

1. No Tuesday Night Prayer.
I am going to be in San Diego/Riverside Monday and Tuesday visiting some of our college kids. My return flight doesn't get back until 10 PM on Tuesday. Because of this, we will be canceling prayer for this week.

2. Young Adult Fellowship Capitola retreat.
We are still looking for folks who are interested in going to the beach house in Capitola from March 21-23rd (Fri-Sun). If you have not signed up yet but are interested, please contact Youwan as soon as you can.

1. Vision/Planning Meeting tonight at Youwan and Jenny's House at 8 PM.
Tonight we will be revisiting the issue of organizing and optimizing our Sunday Worship Service as well as looking at the calender for the next few months.

2. Baptism.
If you have not been baptized yet but are interested, please contact me. Our baptism service is coming up on March 23rd (Easter Sunday), and if you would like to be baptized during that time, please let me know.

3. Church Membership Transfer.
The other thing that we do during Easter is accept any Church Membership transfers. There are no requirements or classes that you need to take in order to be a part of our church membership, but rather a decision that this is now your Church Family. One of the major responsibilities and benefits of church membership is that you will be able participate and vote in any church related decisions and choices. Please contact Charles or myself for more info.

Thanks for all the prayers this weekend for the youth retreat. It was a great time for everyone who went and we are excited to share more about what God did during this retreat.

In fact, if you want to hear a bit more about the retreat, please come out to our prayer meeting tonight. We will be meeting at Youwan's house at 8 PM. One of the things that we will be doing is to share about the youth retreat and to share praise reports from the retreat as well as important follow-up prayer requests.

In addition, we will also be praying about some future events that are coming up for our English Ministry as well.

I look forward to seeing you all tonight. If you are joining in on our fasting, please come by at 7:30 PM to break fast. Let Youwan know if you are coming so that he can prepare enough food.

One final announcement that will start from this week forward.
We talked last Tuesday at our prayer meeting that we want to add the element of fasting for our Tuesday Night Prayer meetings. Prayer is the foundation of the Church and we want to enter into a deeper time of intercession for the health and maturity of our Church Family. This is totally voluntary but we would love to have you join us by fasting from food on Tuesdays until right before our prayer meeting. We will be meeting at my house at 7:30 PM to break fast together and move into a time of prayer. Even if you can't make it to our prayer meeting, I would encourage you to join us for prayer and fasting on your own.

1. Tuesday Night Prayer

2. Bowling this Saturday!
As mentioned before, we want to do a bowling event with the Youth Group this upcoming Saturday. It is a bit tricky trying to gauge the number of people who are interested (both Young Adult and Youth Group), but I think we will do something similar along the lines of the following. I was originally going to try to have us go to the new bowling place (Strike in Valco), but it is crazy expensive and because of the
potential size of our group, we would have to cater our lunch there (additional $800 if we had 30 people).

So instead we will doing Cosmic Bowling at Homestead Lanes in Cupertino from 12-2 PM.

Here are the details. 2 hours of bowling plus shoe rental during this time will be $20. It is first come first serve, so I am going to ask that people get there 20 minutes early (11:40 AM). The first hour will be a "practice" time to get your bowling game up to snuff, and then the second hour will be the real competition. During the second hour, we will mix teams (Young Adults and Youth), and you will play for bragging rights as well as a group prize (TBD).

PLEASE RSVP to Youwan in the next few days if you will be coming. Feel free to invite any friends or co-workers, but send Youwan an email so that we know who to expect.

3. Praise Night on Friday 2/1/08
We are planning on doing another Worship Night with CFCC and possibly with a small group from Canaan Taiwanese Church. The worship time will start at 7:30 PM that night and go until around 9:30 PM. Mark it down on your calendars for the following week.

2. Special Sunday School class this upcoming Sunday:
As announced this past Sunday, we will be having Mae Sampani come and share with us a bit about her work with IJM (International Justice Mission). She works as the Director of Aftercare in Cebu Philippines and the main focus of her job is helping children rescued from sex trafficking. I am very glad that she will be sharing her own personal testimony as well as a bit about the work of IJM. She will have a short sharing during service and then she will lead a combine Sunday School class with High Schoolers, College, Young Adults, and Couples. Please make it a point to come and hear what she has to share.

3. Upcoming activities:
As my previous email from last week mentioned, we will be having a number of activities coming up very shortly. Please make sure to check out the website for more info.

3. Next Tuesday, December 18. Homeless Outreach Project 7 PM
We are planning on making hot dogs and beverages and going to Downtown San Jose to pass out the food and talk to some of the homeless folks down there. We will leave Youwan and Jenny's at 7 PM to go to St James Park (152 N 3rd Street) in downtown San Jose. If you can, you can come early to Youwan's to help cook and prepare the hot dogs.

1. Prayer Meeting tonight at Youwan's house.
We will be giving praise for this weekend. In addition to the Singles Conference, we had a great turnout for the Youth Group Coffee House. The chapel was literally transformed into a great coffee house environment. We have much to be thankful for this past weekend as well as things we need to continue to pray about as we move forward.

2 Saturday Night Thanksgiving at MVCCC at 6 PM.
This is a follow-up announcement to the one that Karen sent out earlier. We will be having our All Church Thanksgiving Dinner this Saturday at 6 PM at church. The Chinese side fellowships are bringing all the food and we are invited to come and eat with them. The English side however has been asked to come and help with clean-up. The youth group will help with the clean up of the tables outside in the fellowship hall and the young adults will be in charge of the kitchen. Please let me know if you are planning on attending the dinner and if you can help with cleanup. Afterwards, the youth will have their regular meeting at church and the Young Adults/Couples are invited to come to my house for hangout and games.

1. Vision and planning meeting Tuesday at Youwan's house.
I am excited that we will have an opportunity to do this tonight. Please come to my house at 8 PM for this very important meeting. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to come and participate in this discussion about the future direction of our English Ministry. We have see a lot of new people and growth in recent months and it is time to regroup and refocus and be faithful in following through with what God is doing in our midst.

2. IMPORTANT CHANGE OF PLANS: No Worship Night this Friday!
Instead, we will be having an Ice Cream Social and Game Night at Youwan's house starting at 7 PM. There will be no dinner served, but feel free to come early and just bring something and eat dinner at my place. Chinese for Christ Church will not be joining us this Friday for the Worship Night so instead we are going to move the meeting to my house and instead make it more of a family/community building time. The only requirement is that you bring yourself and one of the following things.

1) Ice cream of any flavor
2) Some sort of topping to make a sundae (suggested items: leftover
Halloween candy, freshly bake brownies, fruits, Gummy Bears, etc.)
3) A guest
4) Games of any sort (board, cards, or even extra poker chips)
5) All the above

1. Tuesday Night Prayer:
Tonight we will have our regularly scheduled prayer meeting. It will start at 8 PM at Youwan's house.

2. Next Tuesday Night Prayer:
As mentioned on Sunday morning, we will have our first English Ministry Vision/Planning Meeting next Tuesday Night (in place of our regularly scheduled prayer meeting). This is open to anyone who is interested in hearing about the future direction and focus of the English Ministry. I will share about a few ideas and then we will open up the rest of the night to discussion and prayer. Please make it a point to come out and join us for this evening. We will start at 8 PM.

3. Worship Night November 9th
We will be having our regularly scheduled worship night on November 9th at MVCCC with CFC as well as CCBA. The time will be 7:30-9:30 PM. Please come out and join us that evening for fellowship, worship, and fun.

1. Soul Care Groups:

2. Couples Group Soul Care:
We are starting brand new Couples Soul Care groups this Sunday. We will have two new groups going on and the leaders will contact you about the details. Our goal is to start by having these small groups meet once a month on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Please contact Karen and Charles as well as myself and Jenny for more info on our groups.

3. Baseball this Sunday:
The Red Sox are not doing so well but you can live out your baseball post season dreams by coming out on Sunday from 3-6pm. Come see Pat Yao's booming home runs, Eric Lin's incredible bat speed, Neal Wang's Gold Glove defense, Charles Tsai's vicious fastball and Dave Lin's deadly comebackers to the mound. Bring a glove and a good sense of humor to Ortega Park this Sunday. Spectators and First-Aid people welcomed as well.

I can't believe it is already October! The holidays are right around the corner!

Just a few announcements for this week at church:

1. Tuesday Night Prayer:
8 PM at Youwan's house. Prayer is the driving force behind all we do so come out and join us for prayer every week.

2. Soul Care Groups:
Take a look at our website for updated times and dates.

3. Couples Group this Sunday 10/7/07:
Karen emailed out the announcement but just a reminder that we will be having our first official couples group of the new ministry year at my house that evening.

4. Serving Lunch and Clean-up:
We are on Kitchen duty this Sunday. Please plan on sticking around for lunch and helping with serving as well as clean up that day. Sunday School will get out a bit early to help serve the lunch.

5. Baseball on Sunday:
We will continue with baseball this Sunday at 3 PM as well. Playoffs are here and the Boston Red Sox are on their way to the being the 2007 World Series Champions. Come out and experience some post-season fun by playing baseball with us.

6. Worship Night on Friday Oct. 12th.
We will be having our monthly worship night again in a few weeks. Come out and join us as well as inviting out your friends.

Just a heads up that our Youth Worship Team will be leading us this Sunday for worship. As you know we have three groups meeting during the week. The time and places of all three are now beginning to settle down.

Dave's Mountain View Soul Care: Wednesday Night starting at 8pm
Nancy's North San Jose Soul Care: Thursday Nights starting at 7pm for dinner and 8pm for sharing

Evening of Worship and Praise
Friday Aug. 17th from 7:30-9pm.

We are having our evening of worship and praise this Friday night. CFC San Jose (the church that usually joins us) will not be here this Friday but we have invited members of our sister church Christ Church of the Bay Area to come down and join us. I sent out the invite to them and I am hoping that they will be able to come out.

I definitely want to invite out our college kids who are back for the summer to come out as well. It is nice to be able to enter into a longer extended time of worship and praise together.

Church Picnic on Sunday
We will not be having Sunday School this sunday and instead we will be heading over to Rengstorff park for our all-church picnic. We have been asked to come early to help BBQ as well as to prepare games. If anyone has ideas about games, please let me know.

Hey folks,

Here are a few announcements for this week:

1. Tuesday Night Prayer:
We would love to have our college folks join us for prayer if you are back already. My address is 21815 Benetti Court Cupertino CA 95014. We start at 8pm and are usually done by 9pm. It has been great to not only have our young adults come out but also many of our youth have been coming out to prayer as well.

2. New Comer's Dinner on Friday:
I have emailed out some of our New Comers and invited them out to a New Comer's dinner at my house this Friday. We definitely want to open this up to the whole fellowship but you will need to RSVP with me ahead of time so that I can I prepare food accordingly. If you can also bring some food (ala potluck style) that would be great. I will most likely break out my BBQ and make some sort of Korean BBQ. We will hangout afterwards and play cards and board games. We are planning to start around 7pm.

3. Soul Care for this week:
We have three different Soul Care Groups that meet during the week. We definitely encourage you to check them out. Just check the website to see if that a particular Soul Care group is meeting this week. The Sunnyvale group for example is not meeting this week because of the New Comer's BBQ but you can see if the North San Jose or Mt. View group is meeting this week.

Hey folks,

Just an update on things going on at MVCCC this week.

1. Prayer Meeting this Tuesday.
We will gather as usual at my house at 8pm for prayer. It has been incredible to see what God has been doing recently here at our church family and it is definitely due to prayer. Come out and join us this week.

2. VBS.
We have VBS going on this week. If any colllege students are interested in coming out and playing with the kids let me know and I can let you know what ways you can help.

3. College Fellowship:

Just a few reminders about this week's activities:

1. Tuesday Prayer Meeting:

3. Praise Night:
This Friday will by our monthly praise night. Last month, we had Tom Lin come and speak. This month, we will have Peter Wang. Some of you will remember him from our last year's summer retreat. Peter is formerly of CCIC Cupertino and has now started a church plant. As always, feel free to invite out your friends to this event. The Praise Night we be from 7:30-9pm.

4. New Orleans Missions Meeting on Sunday:

1. New Orleans Mission Trip:
We had our intro meeting this past Sunday and we passed out the schedule for training as well as other vital information. It is not too late but I need to know this week if you are interested in coming on the trip with us. This is open to everyone in the English Ministry. I especially want to let the college kids know about this as well. If you are interested in coming (the trip again is Aug. 5-11th) please let me know this week.

2. Tuesday Night Prayer:

Hey folks,

There are a number of things going on this week that I
wanted to let you know about.

1. Tuesday Prayer Meeting:
Thanks for your prayers and emails of concern last week. Turns out that I had food poisoning. We are back on this week and we will be meeting at my house at 8pm.

2. New Orleans Mission Trip:
We have an informational meeting this upcoming Sunday after lunch to discuss the details of this trip. It would be helpful to get an idea of who from the college/young adults/couples would be interested in coming on this trip. The dates again are Aug. 5-11th and the goal is to work on building houses during the day and doing some various outreach events in the evening. Please just shoot me an email if you are interested or have any questions.

3. Soul Care:
We are still ramping up into our new Soul Care small groups. The various leaders will contact you about different meetings going on this week.

4. Blood Drive at Chinese For Christ Church in San Jose.
Our good friend Joey Wang over at CFCC told me about an opportunity to donate blood. His church is sponsoring this and I wanted to get the info to everyone. Here are the requirements and details.

What: American Red Cross Blood Drive

When: Saturday, June 2, 10 am - 3 pm.

It is our belief that building a firm spiritual foundation at a young age is vital to one's long term relationship with the Lord. Our hope is that the children will cultivate a love for God and His people early on so that they can grow up to be an instrument for the kingdom of God. Therefore, we are committed to providing the following programs for children at various ages.

Saturday AWANA:
Throughout the year from September to May, we run the AWANA clubs (Cubbies, Sparks, and T&T) for ages from 3 through grade 6th. AWANA takes place on Saturdays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

Children grade 7th to 12th will attend the Youth Group held at the same time.

Sunday Worship:
Young children's worship is for ages from 2 to kindergarten. It is held from 11:00 to 11:30 AM in a designated classroom and is conducted in both Chinese and English.

Children's worship for grades 1 through 6 is held from 11:00 to 11:30 am at the chapel. During this time, there is praise and worship and a short message for the children.

Children who are in grades 7 and beyond will attend the regular English service from 9:45 to 11:00 AM.

Sunday School:
Children Sunday school follows immediately after the worship session for all children from 11:30 to 12:15 PM.

Classes are divided as such:

Ages 2-3 (conducted in Chinese/English)
Ages 3-4 (conducted mostly in Chinese/English)
Kindergarten (conducted mostly in Chinese/English)
Level 1 for Grade 1
Level 2 for Grade 2
Level 3 for Grades 4 and 5
Level 4 for Grades 3 and 6
Middle School for Grades 7 and 8
High School I for Grades 9 and 10
High School II for Grades 11 and 12

Vacation Bible School (VBS):
This year we will have VBS during the week of June 16 to 20. It will be for children in kindergarten through grade 6.

Children ages 3 and under will be cared for in our nursery during both Saturday and Sunday programs.

Missions Weekend (5/18-5/20)

Hey folks,

Just a reminder that we will be having our annual
missions weekend starting tomorrow (5/19) evening at
7pm. Our speaker as you have heard is Lawrence Cheng
and he will come and share a bit about his ministry
that he is passionate about. I am very challenged by
the radical choices that he has made with his life.
He is someone who has a heart for justice and mission
and I am very honored that he is coming and sharing
with us.

Missions ultimately is about responding to God's call
to go and make disciples of all nations and Lawrence
has heard his unique call and is contributing to the
building of the Kingdom in his own unique way.

Please make it a point to come out tomorrow night as
well as Sunday to hear Lawrence's story and the
challenges that he has for us.

In addition to hearing God's Word, my challenge to our
congregation is respond in some sort of faith pledge.
We will have our Mission Pledge cards that will be
included in the Sunday bulletin this week. There are
various sections to check in terms of faith
challenges. They vary from deciding to go on short
term missions, to supporting our missionaries in
prayer, financially supporting our missionaries, to
even considering going into the mission field full
time. I really would like everyone to agree to some
sort of faith pledge this year.

Various fellowships in the church have created little
posters describing some of the missionaries that our
church supports. Please take some time out this
weekend to go around and read up a little bit more
about our missionaries.

Just wanted to give you a heads up on activities happening at church this week.

2. No Thursday Night Fellowship:
We are still in the midst of launching our Soul Care groups. The Soul Care leaders will contact you about events going on this week.

3. Missions Weekend: May 19th and 20th.
Just a reminder that our Missions Weekend is next weekend. For the English side, we will be having a Sat Night as well as Sun morning session. Lawrence Cheng will be our speaker and he is someone who felt the call of Got to move into East Palo Alto and work with less privileged kids there. Sat. Night is open to the whole English Congregation (not just youth) so please make it a point to come out.

4. New Orleans Mission Trip: Aug. 5-11th.
As announced over the last two Sundays, we will be doing a mission trip to New Orleans for one week. In the daytime, we will be working with Habitat for Humanity and in the evening we will be doing outreach with a local church in the New Orleans area. Applications are available so please let me know if you are interested in going on this trip. We are wanting to finalize the headcount by May 27th so that we can plan airfare and accommodations. Please let me know if you are interested or have additional questions about this trip. Again this trip is open to everyone in the English Congregation.

Waiting Upon the Lord

There was once a husband who had a wife. However, their relationship was not solid and the wife told the husband, "I'm busy, so I will devote 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. to you everyday."

The husband agreed. The next day, he went to work. Although he had a rough time at work, he was excited at the thought of being able to converse with his wife.

As they sat down, the wife said: "Oh, you wouldn't believe what happened today!" And on and on she rambled about her day. The husband tried to interrupt to tell her what he had to say, but she continued to rant about her day.

Psalm 139:17-18

17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!

How vast is the sum of them!

18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you.

Many times this is the exact situation with God. We set up quiet times to fellowship with the Heavenly Father, but many times we devote that time talking about ourselves and our needs. There's so much God wants to be able to say to us, but we keep on talking that there's no room for God to speak.

These verses amaze me. God's thoughts outnumber the grains of sand in the earth! Imagine all the sandboxes, beaches, and volleyball courts packed into a big container... and each grain God had something to say to you.

He might want to tell you how much He loves you. Or there might be something He is calling you to do. There's just so much he wants to tell us. But many times we aren't receptive to the things that He has to say. We need to remember that this is not to us, but for the One in Heaven.

Hey folks,

Just wanted to give you heads up for this week.

1. Tuesday Night Prayer:
We will be meeting tonight starting at 8pm. Please make it a point to come out and join us for intercessory prayer.

2. Soul Care:
You will be contact by the various Soul Care leaders in the next week or so. As mentioned before on Sunday Morning, we will be moving to three smaller Soul Care groups that will meet at various locations and times. Once we finalize the times and dates, we will get that info to you.

3. Missions Weekend: May 19th and 20th.
Annually we have our Missions Weekend. This year Lawrence Cheng will be coming and sharing about the kind of missions that he is a part of. Lawrence and his wife live and work in East Palo Alto. They both felt a call from God to live out what Tom Lin mentioned at our Praise Night, "to be blessing so that we can be a blessing." After graduating from Stanford, Lawrence moved to East Palo Alto and began to work with in the community as well as the school system. His story is very challenging and one that I hope would inspire us to live out the Kingdom in the ways that God has called us.

We will be having a combined English service on Sat. evening as well as our regular Sunday morning time.

4. Missions Trip:
As mentioned this past Sunday, we will be sending out the application forms for our summer mission trip shortly. The dates will be Aug. 5-11th and we will be flying down to New Orleans to help with the physical and spiritual rebuilding of that area. During the day we will be building homes with Habitat for Humanity and in the evening we will be serving at a local church doing Youth rallies and other outreach events. Started in the 1960s as a Home Bible Study Group under the guidance and assistance of Rev. Moses Yu, Chinese Christian Fellowship held its first worship service in 1964 in the hall rented from Masonic Temple. In 1974, it formally changed its name to Mountain View Chinese Christian Church, and on December 8, 1996, MVCCC moved into its current facility. In 2006 after a two-thirds approval of the Board and Elders and a two-thirds approval of the membership meeting,
Bay Area Chinese Christian Church was accepted as our branch church, in accordance with church's constitution.

Sunday worship services are conducted in Chinese and English and the regular attendance is over 300 people. Content-rich and dynamic Children and Adult Sunday Schools are provided each Sunday. Bible Study Groups and Fellowships meet throughout the week for different age groups to meet different needs. On the first and third Sundays, a late night evangelistic worship service is also conducted.

MVCCC is an independent, evangelical, non-denominational, overseas mission oriented Chinese American Church and obeys the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ to love one another and to preach the gospel to all nations.

Pastoral Staff

Pastor Peter Ng was born in a Christian Family. 1977-1978 he experienced born again and filling of the Holy Spirit, and dedicated his life to bear the cross and follow Christ. 1979 he clearly felt the call to fulltime ministry and enrolled to study theology at Malaysia Bible Seminary. After graduation, from 1984-1988 he served as a missionary with North Thailand Tribal Mission. 1987 he married the freshly graduated theological student Ruth Sim and together they served in North Thailand as missionaries. 1988- 1990 they went back to their home country to serve as the pastor of Chempaka Lutheran Church, a church he pioneered with other seminarians back in the seminary days. 1991 he served as the assistant manager and course instructor of Lutheran Bible Institute. 1992-1995 he joined Open Doors Malaysia to assume a leadership training and field research position.

1995-1998 he enrolled in the Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies, and later (1998-2000), Doctor of Philosophy in Intercultural Studies programs at Fuller Theological Seminary. 2000-2006 he served as the Senior Pastor of Salinas Chinese Christian Church. 2003 he discontinued his Ph.D. program in order to focus on the pastoral ministry. He joined our church in August 2006. They are blessed with three wonderful children. Caleb, the eldest, is currently a sophomore at UC Davis. Cheny is a junior and Joshua a freshman at Wilcox High (2006).

Pastor Youwan Kang was born in Seoul, Korea and immigrated to the US when he was 3 years old. He grew up in the Bay Area and attended Cupertino High School and Santa Clara University. Upon graduating from college, he served on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at the University of Hawaii, Manoa campus. He returned to the Bay Area after 5 years in Hawaii and completed his Master of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Youwan’s connections with MVCCC run very deep. He first came to this church when he was in high school through the invitation of a friend. MVCCC was very important in his spiritual formation and call into full-time ministry. Pastor Kang was ordained at MVCCC in November 2006. He also met his wife Jenny here at MVCCC when he was in high school. They have been married since 2002 and are raising a son, Elijah, and are excited to be back “home” serving at MVCCC.

Youth Minister Patrick Yao was born in Memphis, Tennessee. His family moved to St. Louis, Missouri when he was two years old and lived there for 26 years. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received a degree in Economics and East Asian Languages and Cultures. After graduation and a year of work and further schooling, he decided to pursue God’s calling into ministry and thus attended Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis and received his Master of Divinity. While in seminary, Pat continued to attend his home church, St. Louis Chinese Christian Church, as the interim youth minister.

Pat and his wife, Gloria, have been married since July of 2005 and they have a daughter, Adelaide Kara. Their prayer and desire is that God would instill an inward and outward passion for God within the growing English ministries in Chinese churches.

Pastor Emeritus Mark Kor Cheng was born in Fujian, China. He received the Lord when he was 26 and dedicated himself to the Lord's service when he was 30. He graduated from Alliance Bible Seminary in Hong Kong and taught in that seminary. He also taught in a seminary in the Philippines and the Christian Witness Seminary in the United States. Afterward, Pastor Cheng served as the Senior Pastor of Grace Gospel Church in Manila, Philippines, where he pioneered Chinese church engagement in missions. He then served as the General Secretary of the Chinese Christian Missions in the United States.

In 1992, Pastor Cheng came to Mountain View Chinese Christian Church to serve as the Senior Pastor and later became the Pastor Emeritus. He has served the Lord for over 50 years and is especially burdened with missionary work. His recent prayer is for the Lord to turn China into a missionary nation with at least 400 million Christians and 100,000 missionaries.

Article I. General Principles

Section 1. The name of this church shall be Mountain View Chinese Christian Church.

Section 2. The address of this church shall be 175 East Dana Street, Mountain View, CA.

Section 3. The Articles of Faith

1. We believe the Scripture, all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God and is the only highest authority and guide for our faith and life.

2. We believe God exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are the same in nature, equal in power, equal in honor, equal in glory and is the only eternally existing True God.

3. We believe salvation is by grace through faith. Jesus Christ is wholly God and wholly man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of Virgin Mary. He was crucified on the cross and died for us to atone for our sins. He arose from the dead three days later, ascended into heaven and will come again to judge the living and the dead. Those who believe in Him and have confessed their sins and repented have been born again and are saved.

Section 4. With Jesus Christ as the head of this church, our duties are to proclaim the Gospel, lead others to the Lord, do our utmost to discharge our individual responsibilities, serve in concert as one body, care for and love one another, build up the body of Christ and complete the Great Commission entrusted to us by the Lord.

Article II. Membership

Section 1. Any person meeting any of the following conditions qualifies to become a member of this church:

1. Any person who has made the decision to believe in our Lord in this church and has been examined by the Pastors, Elders and Deacons of this church as to the purity and correctness of his belief, speech and conduct and the certainty of his salvation by grace and has received baptism is a member of this church.

2. Any Christian sharing the same faith with this church and desires to join this church and has continuously attended the Sunday services for over three months becomes a member of this church after acceptance and approval by the Board of Elders and Deacons.

3. The Pastors and Preachers of this church and their spouses are members of this church.

Section 2 Voting Right

Any member meeting any of the following conditions has no voting right in any Membership Meetings.

1. Under 18 years of age on the day of any Membership Meeting.

2. Attends Sunday Service infrequently as determined by the Board of Elders and Deacons prior to any Membership Meeting.

Section 3. Termination of Membership

1. Any member who has transferred to another church or desires to terminate his membership shall have his membership in this church terminated after confirmation by the Board of Elders and Deacons.

2. Any member whose speech and conduct is in flagrant violation of biblical teachings or the Constitution of this church in spite of exhortation by Pastors or Elders shall have his membership in this church terminated after a vote by the Board of Elders and Deacons.

Article III. Membership Meeting

Section 1. The Membership Meeting is the highest authoritative council of this church.

Section 2.

1. The Annual Membership Meeting is to be held in every April. The President of the Board of Elders and Deacons shall call the meeting and preside over the meeting. A quorum is formed by more than half of the total voting members. The President shall present a report and evaluation of the progress of the previous year and hold discussions of motions proposed by Pastors, Elders, Deacons and members.

2. When necessary, Provisional Membership Meetings shall be called by the Board of Elders and Deacons.

Section 3. In the Membership Meetings and Provisional Membership Meetings, unless otherwise specified in this constitution, approval by more than half of the voting members present shall constitute approval of the motions.

Article IV. Ordinances

In accordance with the teachings of the Bible, this church observes the following two ordinances:

1. Baptism: Any person who, having been moved by the Holy Spirit, has received Jesus Christ as the Savior and been born again and is saved may be baptized. The baptism shall be administered by the Pastors and is the profession of the believer’s testimony of identification with our Lord’s death, burial and resurrection.

2. The Holy Communion: On Sundays as designated by the Board of Elders and Deacons, the Holy Communion shall be observed during the Sunday service in remembrance of the saving grace of Lord Jesus who died on the cross and shed his blood for our sins. The Holy Communion shall be administered by the Pastor. All believers may partake in the bread and the cup.

Article V. Structure of Church Offices

Section 1. This church, in accordance with the Great Commission instructed by Lord Jesus Christ: “Go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19) and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, purposes to build a church pleasing to the True God.

Section 2. Pastors

This church shall appoint a Senior Pastor and some number of Associate Pastors and Preachers to direct all the ministries of this church. Their duties are as follows:

1. The Senior Pastor is the leader of the team of Pastors and Preachers, responsible for job assignments for members of the Pastoral team and is to provide guidance for the spiritual life and service of the team members.

2. Shepherd all believers in this church. Visit church members and those still searching for the truth to affect their spiritual growth. Help to resolve conflicts in members’ families.

3. Arrange pulpit preachers for Sunday services and other special worship services. Administer Holy Communions and preside over weddings and memorial services.

4. Provide guidance for the assignment of responsibilities for the Elders and Deacons. Promote the implementation and evaluation of resolutions of the Board of Elders and Deacons.

Section 3. Elders

1. When necessary, this church shall install some number of Elders to cooperate with the Pastors in advancing the ministries of this church and to assist the Pastoral team in shepherding the congregation.

2. Pastors appointed by this church are ex officio Elders of this church.

3. Qualifications of Elders are as stated in I Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:5-9.

A. Be a member of this church, over the age of 40, has been baptized for over 5 years, has served as a Deacon or Co-worker for at least 2 years, cordial in service and bears witness.

B. Veracious in his belief, proper in his deportment, abundant in his Spiritual life, a good manager of his own family, and has earned the trust and esteem of the congregation.

4. Election of Elders

Elders shall be nominated by the Pastors. After at least two-thirds approval of the Board of Elders and Deacons, the candidate shall be presented to the congregation at least one month before the Membership Meeting. After at least two-thirds approval in the Membership Meeting, the Elders shall be installed by the Pastors with a laying on of hands. Elders shall serve a term of 4 years and may be re-elected to consecutive terms for a maximum of 12 consecutive years. The process for re-election is the same as initial nomination and election.

5. Elders and the team of Pastors and Preachers shall hold irregularly scheduled meetings to be chaired by the Senior Pastor.

Section 4. Deacons

1. Qualifications for Deacons are as stated in Acts 6:1-6 and I Timothy 3:1-13.

2. Duties for the Deacons are as assigned by the Board of Elders and Deacons to serve all the brothers and sisters.

3. Election of Deacons.

A. The number of Deacons shall be a minimum of 5 and the terms of office shall be 2 years staggered such that each year, approximately one-half shall be up for confirmation. Deacons may be re-confirmed to one consecutive term for a maximum of 4 consecutive years.

B. Candidates for the office of Deacons shall be nominated by the Board of Elders and Deacons, and each candidate shall be appointed by a majority of the members present at the Membership Meeting.

C. The list of nominees shall be announced one month prior to the date of nominee confirmation to allow the members to intercede through prayer for the nominees.

Article VI. Board of Elders and Deacons

Section 1. The Board of Elders and Deacons (also abbreviated as the Board) is responsible for carrying out the ministries of this church. Each member of the Board is annually assigned an area of responsibility not to exceed a maximum of 4 consecutive years in any one particular area. Responsibilities to be assigned are as follows:

1. President.

The Board of Elders and Deacons shall elect an installed Elder to be the President.

Prior to the installation of Elders, one of the Deacons shall be elected to the post. The duties are to:

A. Preside over the Board of Elders and Deacons meetings.

B. Coordinate and negotiate the tasks among the Elders and Deacons.

C. In cooperation with the Pastors, implement resolutions of the Board of Elders and Deacons.

D. Plan and assign responsibilities for the ministries of this church.

E. Join the Senior Pastor in representing the church in attending church related external meetings.

F. Be responsible for all the affairs of this church in the absence of Pastors and Elders.

2. Vice President

A. To assist the President in implementing resolutions of the Board of Elders and Deacons.

B. To perform the duties of the President in the absence of the President.

3. Secretarial Committee

A. To handle all correspondences of this church.

B. To be responsible for minutes of all church meetings and safe keeping of records.

C. To compile programs for Sunday services and special worship services.

D. To publicize church related news.

4. Spiritual Cultivation Committee

A. To plan for the annual Summer Camp.

B. To plan for the annual rally.

C. To arrange and assist Bible Study groups in all districts.

D. To encourage church members to hold family devotions.

E. To prepare for special services for annual festivals (in conjunction with Sunday School Committee).

F. To be solicitous about members’ daily devotions.

G. To be solicitous about prayer meetings of the church.

5. Local Evangelism Committee

A. To plan for annual evangelical crusade.

B. To hold personal evangelism and discipleship training classes.

C. To assist evangelistic fellowships in carrying out evangelizing activities.

D. To promote evangelistic Bible studies and family meetings.

6. Overseas Missions Committee

A. To hold annual missions symposium.

B. To hold missions workshops or participate in regional missions seminars.

C. To organize missions prayer meetings.

D. To prepare, plan and support evangelistic broadcasts.

E. To support missionaries, missions and evangelistic organizations.

7. Mass Media Committee

A. To publish “Testimony and Sharing” quarterly.

B. To publish books.

C. To publish evangelistic articles in newspapers.

D. To collect and care for spiritual books.

E. Video evangelism.

F. Other evangelistic activities.

8. Member Care Committee

A. To compile membership directory and member registration cards.

B. To greet and visit new friends and invite them to join this church.

C. To care for the poor and needy members.

D. To visit and comfort the elderly and the sick and members’ families in mourning or families encountering other unpleasant events.

E. To congratulate members on joyous family occasions.

F. To assist the pastors in resolving conflicts in members’ families.

9. Fellowship Committee

A. To organize fellowship groups and assists in formulating meeting plans.

B. To employ counselors for the fellowships after seeking the permission of the Senior Pastor.

C. To hold retreats for fellowships singly or jointly.

10. Sunday School Committee

A. To organize a complete Sunday School, from nursery classes to classes for the elderly.

B. To call regular Sunday School staff meetings.

C. To employ Sunday School staff after seeking the permission of the Senior Pastor.

D. To assign classrooms for Sunday School.

E. To layout Sunday School curriculum and the progression of Sunday School classes.

F. To hold special services for annual festivals (in conjunction with Spiritual Cultivation Committee)

11. Sacred Music Committee

A. To organize and train the choir.

B. To select the hymns and anthems for Sunday presentations.

C. To prepare the music for presentation in special services for annual festivals.

D. To cultivate choir conductors, pianists and organists.

12. Finance Committee

A. Accountant’s duties

a. To record and make quarterly report of the receipts and disbursements of the church.

b. To compile and control the yearly church budget.

c. To compile and publish the annual financial report.

d. To audit cash on hand and other financial records.

e. To handle church related tax matters.

B. Treasurer’s duties

a. To be responsible for disbursement and safe keeping of cash.

b. All expenses of this church should first be examined by the accountant for their compliance with the annual budget. Signatures of the President (or Vice President) of the Board of Elders and Deacons and the accountant are then required prior to disbursement of funds by the treasurer.

c. To report special needs or shortage of funds, if any, in the Board of Elders and Deacons meeting.

d. All offering receipts of the church should be recorded for the account designated by the offerer for future review.

13. Asset Management Committee

To be responsible for the maintenance, usage and repair of all real and personal properties of the church.

14. General Services Committee

A. To decorate, maintain and clean the church and make arrangement for communal meals.

B. To make arrangement for the Holy Communion.

C. To assist in making transportation arrangements for members.

D. To purchase all items for use by the church.

E. To assist in the conducting of all church meetings and services.

F. To handle other unexpected events not related to other committees.

Section 2. The source of church income shall be members’ offerings as members are moved by the Holy Spirit. All income and expenses shall be reported quarterly by the accountant and treasurer and shall be published in Sunday bulletins.

Section 3. After the transition to the new Board of Elders and Deacons each year, the finance committee shall request budgets from each committee to be compiled into annual church budget. After examination and approval of the Board of Elders and Deacons, the annual budget shall be presented to the Membership Meeting for approval and subsequent implementation.

Section 4. At the end of each fiscal year, half of any unused funds shall be allocated to the church building and maintenance account and the other half into church Reserve Fund.

Section 5. Should any budgeted item exhaust the budgeted amount prior to the end of the fiscal year, after approval by the Board of Elders and Deacons, additional amount may be allocated from the Reserve Fund or the President of the Board may announce the need to the congregation for a special offering to meet the shortfall.

Section 6. All important external correspondences and documents, such as agreements, certificates, etc., shall be written in the name of this church and shall be signed by the Senior Pastor and the President and Vice President of the Board of Elders and Deacons after approval by the Board or the Membership Meeting.

Section 7. Should the Elders and the Deacons find themselves to be short-handed due to the increasing demands of their duties, with the permission of the President, they may respectively solicit the assistance of church members and form working groups to cooperatively carry out the assignments.

Section 8. In the meetings of the Board of Elders and Deacons, the principle is to require two-thirds majority vote for the adoption of motions.

Article VII. Employment Provisions

Section 1. This church shall appoint a Senior Pastor. The Board of Elders and Deacons shall appoint a Pastoral Search Committee consisting a minimum of three (3) members. After the candidate is approved by the Board of Elders and Deacons, the candidate shall be presented to the Membership Meeting. After at least two-thirds approval of the quorum members present at the Membership Meeting, the church shall then make a formal written offer. After the expiration of the contract, if it is mutually agreed that it is possible to continue to serve together in one accord, the church shall renew the contract.

Section 2. This church shall employ some number of Associate Pastors and Preachers. Candidates shall be nominated by the Senior Pastor. (In the absence of the Senior Pastor, the Board of Elders and Deacons shall appoint a Pastoral Search Committee as in Section 1 of this Article to nominate candidates.) After approval by the Board of Elders and Deacons, the candidate shall be presented to the Membership Meeting. After at least two-thirds approval of the quorum members present at the Membership Meeting, the church shall then make a formal written offer. The initial term shall be 2 years. After the expiration of the contract, if it is mutually agreed that it is possible to continue to serve together in one accord, the church shall renew the contract for a negotiable length of term.

Section 3. Preachers of this church may be ordained as Pastors. After two-thirds approval of the Board of Elders and Deacons, a team of Pastors shall be assembled for the ordination.

Section 4. If the Pastor’s position is vacant and the Elders and Deacons agree that a certain member has been called by our Lord and is also gifted with shepherding, after earnest prayer by the entire church and two-thirds approval of the Membership Meeting, that person may be ordained as a Pastor of this church. The tenure and salary are as in Sections 2 and 6.

Section 5. Depending on the expansion and needs of the ministries of the church, if it becomes necessary to employ additional church staff, the hiring process and the management of the staff shall be determined by the Board of Elders and Deacons.

Section 6. Pastors, Preachers and other employees of this church shall be paid a salary. The amount shall be determined by the Board of Elders and Deacons annually.

Section 7. All salaried staff shall participate in medical insurance beginning from the first day of employment as required by the government. The entire medical insurance premium shall be paid by this church.

Section 8. All salaried staff who resign for a reason after completing at least 5 years of service shall be awarded a severance pay. The amount shall be determined by the Board of Elders and Deacons.

Section 9. All salaried staff who resign or retire after completing at least 10 years of service shall be awarded retirement pay. The amount shall be determined by the Board of Elders and Deacons.

Section 10. Installed Elders of this church are unpaid positions.

Section 11. During the tenure of any Pastors, Preachers or staff members, should serious problem be found such as deviating from the truth in his belief, engaging in fallacious interpretation of the Scripture, following cults, engaging in misconduct, or breaking up of his family, after determining the facts, it shall be presented to the Membership Meeting. After two-thirds approval, the appointment or employment shall be terminated.

Article VIII. Real Property

Section 1. The purchase, sale or transfer of church real property requires a two-thirds approval of the Board of Elders and Deacons and then a two-thirds approval of the membership meeting.

Article IX. Establishing Branch Churches

Section 1. Our church may establish branch churches within or outside the United States.

Section 2. Any church in the United States or outside the United States that shares our faith as listed in our Articles of Faith and wishes to become our branch church may submit a written application. After a two-thirds approval of the Board and Elders and a two-thirds approval of the membership meeting, the applying church will be accepted as our branch church.

Section 3. Any church that becomes our branch church shall abide by our constitution and shall accept directions from our Board of Elders and Deacons.

Section 4. Our church has the obligation to help nurture the spiritual growth of the branch church and to assist the establishment of a Board of Elders and Deacons for the branch church.

Section 5. All branch churches shall include their locality in their names and shall be named "XXX Chinese Christian Church".

Section 6. Each branch church shall employ its own pastors. However, our church should be informed prior to extending the call.

Section 7. Branch churches shall be financially independent and shall apply for their own Employer Identification Number.

Section 8. Each branch church shall present to our church an annual report of its ministries and an annual financial statement.

Section 9. The purchase, sale or transfer of any real property by the branch church shall follow Article VIII. In addition, it shall require a two-thirds approval of the Board of Elders and Deacons of our church and a written approval from the Board.

Section 10. If any branch church wishes to sever the relationship with our church, it shall require a two-thirds approval of the membership meeting of the branch church and a two-thirds approval of the Board of Elders and Deacons of our church and a written approval from the Board.

Article X. Supplementary Article

Section 1. This Constitution shall become effective after two-thirds approval of the members present at the Membership Meeting.

Section 2. The implementation details of this Constitution shall be separately determined by the Board of Elders and Deacons.

Section 3. Any proposed amendment to this Constitution shall first be presented to the Board of Elders and Deacons for further review and shall then be presented to the members. After two-thirds approval of the Membership Meeting, the amendment shall be adopted and implemented.

Section 4. This Constitution shall have both a Chinese and an English version. The Chinese version, however, shall be the controlling document.

Our Soul Care Small Groups meet throughout the week in various people's homes. Contact one of the leaders for more info.

The primary focus of the Young Adult Fellowship at MVCCC, is to foster a community of believers and seekers that can come together in fellowship, to seek God through the study of his words, prayer, and worship and to build friendships built upon the foundation of the Love of Christ.

It is our vision that in the Young Adult Fellowship, we will "speak the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." (Ephesians 4:15-16) As we come together to worship the Lord, share our lives, encourage one another, and lift each other up in prayer, we hope that we will experience community as God intended it to be.

Couples Fellowship

Our regular meetings include topical studies as well as social activities to encourage building a strong marriage. This year (2007), we are studying the book "Five Love Languages". Childcare is provided.

The Youth Group at MVCCC meets every Saturday night at church for our weekly fellowship meeting. This is a time for fun, fellowship, and learning from God’s Word. Each meeting starts with a number of games during which we can get to know each other and have fun. After the games, we have a time of introductions followed by a time of worship. The rest of the meeting is spent either studying God’s Word or in small group prayer.

The vision of the Youth Group at MVCCC is to provide a safe and welcoming place where youth can come and learn more about God. We want to create a warm and welcoming environment where youth can invite their non-Christian friends. The hope is that people will come to know the love of God and grow in their relationship with Him through the Youth Group ministry here at MVCCC.
